Location: French Polynesia (initial assignment in Fiji, early October)
Vessel Overview: - 45-meter charter yacht operating a world-class cruising itinerary. - Busy schedule with high guest turnover and demanding service standards. - Fully equipped, spacious galley designed for a solo chef operation.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare, and present high-quality meals for guests and crew, adhering to international culinary standards. - Manage all aspects of the galley solo, including inventory control, provisioning, and equipment maintenance. - Design menus that reflect the local flavors of French Polynesia and Fiji while meeting diverse dietary preferences. - Ensure strict hygiene and safety compliance in food handling and storage. - Coordinate with the captain and crew to align meal service with itinerary and guest activities. - Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times.
Required Experience & Skills: - Proven experience as a chef on luxury yachts or high-end hospitality venues, preferably on vessels of similar size. - Ability to operate a solo galley efficiently, managing time and resources under pressure. - Strong culinary foundation with a versatile skill set across multiple cuisines. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Professional demeanor, reliability, and a strong work ethic. - Ability to adapt to a dynamic, multicultural environment and long periods at sea.
